Parkinson’s disease is a daily struggle for 100,000 Canadians, causing tremor, slowness, stiffness and changes in gait. Many patients also have non-motor symptoms affecting various other aspects of their lives.
Calgary Parkinson Research Initiative (CaPRI) is a research network that will allow the University of Calgary to become a leader in basic and clinical research in the field of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and related disorders. It will allow understanding of the origins of the disease and its diverse symptoms, as well as developing and testing treatments to address them.
The Calgary Parkinson Research Initiative (CaPRI) at the University of Calgary’s Hotchkiss Brain Institute needs your help. We want to understand how to improve the management and treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
